BLUETTI

85 reviews are about keeping the food cold in a blackout.

I read 1,000 BLUETTI customer reviews and looked at their 150 longest-running ads.

Three reasons to buy came up again and again: saving the food in a blackout, keeping a family member’s oxygen machine or CPAP running, and staying online to work. So I made six ads, two for each reason.

3 reasons customers keep giving

Reason to buyReviews that mention it
Saving the food in the fridge and freezer85 (about 1 in 8)
Keeping a family member’s oxygen machine or CPAP running12 (about 1 in 54)
Staying online to work (router, laptop, Starlink)42 (about 1 in 16)

Counted in the 651 reviews that are 4 or 5 stars and long enough to read.

The oxygen and CPAP reason has the smallest number here and the highest stakes. Nothing else in the reviews matters more to the person buying.

In their own words

“Due to Hurricanes, I’ve lost all the food from my refrigerator on multiple occasions. I’m not a fan of a noisy generator running in my back yard.”

BLUETTI customer review

“We bought this for my grandma in case the power goes out for her oxygen machine.”

BLUETTI customer review

“I used this system during a Hurricane to power my internet and laptop. It worked beautifully.”

BLUETTI customer review

“It easily handles our sump pump and freezer, and it will run our furnace this winter if necessary.”

How I'd test them

  1. Each ad runs against BLUETTI’s longest-running ad with readable copy, the Apex 300 launch video, live for about 423 days.
  2. Both run for 7 days to the same audience with the same daily budget.
  3. A power station is a big purchase, so a week rarely brings enough sales per ad. I’d judge on cost per add to cart.
  4. The food and staying-online ads fit hurricane and winter-storm regions first. The oxygen and CPAP ads go to broad audiences aged 35 and up, since it’s their parents who need it.
  5. The winner gets the budget, and the next round builds on the reason that won.
